2 cups (8 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup cottage cheese
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon, optional
24 jumbo pasta shells, cooked and drained

SAUCE:
1 can (29 ounces) tomato sauce
1 tablespoon dried minced onion
1-1/2 teaspoons dried basil
1-1/2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions

In a large skillet, cook sausage and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Transfer to a large bowl. Stir in the spinach, cream cheese and egg. Add 1 cup mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and cinnamon if desired. (the cinnamon adds a great taste to it!)

Stuff pasta shells with sausage mixture. Arrange in two 9x13 baking dishes coated with cooking spray. Combine the sauce ingredients; spoon over shells.

Cover and bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Uncover; sprinkle with remaining mozzarella. Bake 5-10 minutes longer or until bubbly and cheese is melted. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving. Yield: 12 servings.

Chicken Parmesan

This recipe is delicious!  The other night we went out to eat and order chicken parmesan.  My hubby loved it and wanted me to try and make it at home!  I found this recipe and he enjoyed it so much that he wanted it for his birthday dinner and was wanting it more that week.  Try it and see what you think!

Ingredients:

2 chicken breasts halves, boneless and skinless
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 tbsp dried oregano
1 tbsp dried basil
1 tbsp dried thyme
2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
olive oil
2 cups tomato sauce
4 oz fresh mozzarella, thinly sliced
2 tbsp grated Parmesan

Directions

Preheat the oven to 500 degrees F.
Combine the herbs, salt, pepper and bread crumbs in a shallow dish to blend. Cover chicken breasts with mixture and shake off any excess.
Pour enough olive oil in a frying pan to coat the bottom, heat to medium-high heat.  Add the chicken and cook just until brown, about 3 minutes per side. Remove the skillet from the heat.
Spoon the marinara sauce over and around the chicken. Sprinkle Parmesan over each chicken breast.  Cover each chicken breast with mozzarella slices.
Bake, covered with foil, for 10 minutes and then uncovered for 5 minutes, until the cheese melts and the chicken is cooked through.  Found Recipe on asweetpeachef.com

Homemade Hashbrowns

I love hash-browns but I wanted to find a way to make them myself... especially since a bag of potatoes is about the same price for a bag of hash-browns.  These hash-browns are so easy, it saves alot of money, you can also make and freeze for later!

Wash and scrub the potatoes.  Then poke the potato with a fork, so your potato doesn't explode in the oven and it will definitely save some unneeded cleanup.  Place potatoes in a baking dish with a lid.  Bake covered for about 1 1/2 hours at 350.  Let the potatoes cool, it will take a few hours.  Then I peel the skins of the potato and grate the potato up with a cheese grater.  You can cook it up and eat right away or you can place it on a cookie sheet with wax paper. Put a thin layer of grated potatoes, then place in the freezer for a couple of hours. When frozen then place in a Ziploc bag and put back in freezer for future use.  When you cook it if frozen just cook a little longer!  I love using lots of butter for my hash-browns.  Don't turn potatoes to much on the skillet or it won't turn out nice.  Let it get a beautiful golden brown then flip!  You will love this recipe!  I have also diced up the potatoes instead of grating them, it works great for any other dish that calls for potatoes/hash-browns!

Pizza Factory Bread Sticks

This has to be the best breadsticks  ever!!! My hubby gets so excited when I make these and he always likes to add extra glaze on his!  After you try this you'll want to have it over and over again!

Dough:
Rhodes rolls--2 per breadstick

Glaze:
2-3 Tbsp melted butter
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp dill weed

18" bamboo skewers (or some kind of big skewers I only had 12" it works but you don't have much of a handle)

Let dough rise. Then knead two rolls together and stretch into a thin rope. Twist the rope around the skewer and hang on a cake pan (you can place them on a greased cookie sheet, but they'll have flat marks on the bottom when they're done baking). Repeat till all dough is used. Let twists rise till doubled. While they are baking, combine the glaze ingredients. Bake twists at 375 for about 12-15 minutes or till golden brown. Remove from oven and brush with the butter glaze.

Easy Lemon Pull Apart Rolls

These are so good! The first time I made these my husband, sister in-law and I could not stop eating them!  To me these are so much better than lemon squares!  I found this recipe on sixsistersstuff.blogspot.com

Ingredients:
12 Rhodes dinner rolls (thawed but cold)
zest from 2 lemons
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted

Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
1 Tbsp butter, melted
2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice

Mix lemon zest and sugar, Cut rolls in half, place in sprayed 9x13 pan. Drizzle butter over rolls.  Sprinkle with lemon zest/sugar mixture reserving 1/2 of mixture to sprinkle on rolls, just before cooking let rolls rise until double the size.  Sprinkle remaining mixture.  Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.  Remove immediately from pan and place on a cookie sheet to cool. Make glaze and drizzle over rolls.

German Pancakes

This has been one of may favorite breakfasts!  My mom would make this for us once a week for breakfast and all of us would try so hard to get the biggest slice.  It's a fast and simple breakfast that you will want to have over and over again!

Ingredients:

6 eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp butter melted

Preheat oven to 400. Combined eggs, milk, flour, and salt in the blender or in a mixing bowl and mix until smooth.  If you mix it to long it will make a difference in how the pancakes will turn out. (If you mix till just smooth then you will get nice wavy pancakes, but if you do it to long your pancakes sides will get really high and you won't have the nice wavy look.)  Melt butter and put into a 9x13 pan, spread butter around.  Then pour in mixture in to pan, bake uncovered for 20 minutes. This tastes great with syrup, fruit, lemon glaze, etc.

5 Petal Fabric Flowers

Step 1:  With the fabric that you have chosen, use the bottom of a glass to make a circle pattern.  When I was making the patterns I made 4 different sizes so if I wanted to I could add a second row of petals.

Step 2: Use one of the patterns to cut out six Circles

Step 3: Fold the circles in half and iron them

Step 4: Fold the half circles in half again and iron so that you have six quarter circles.

Step 5: Tie a knot at the end of some matching thread and sew three stitches on each petal.  Use the same string for all six petals so that they are all connected.

Step 6: When all the petals are sewn together, scrunch them all up and shape them into a circle.  With the same thread, stitch the two ends together so the circle shape will stay together.

Step 7: Hot glue a round piece of felt to the back of the flower to cover the raw edges.

Step 8:  Hot glue or sew hair clip to the felt

Step 9: Pick out a cute button that is big enough to cover the middle of the flower and hot glue it on.

Fleece Quillo

Step 1:  Purchase double sided fleece fabric (it doesn’t have to be doubled sided but I think it looks best when it doesn’t have a wrong side to it).  Have them cut 2 yards and then a separate piece of the same fabric cut to 5/8th a yard.

Step 2: Cut off all raw edges and make sure that the edges look straight.

Step 3: We are going to start off first by making the pillow.  Take the 5/8 piece of fabric and fold it over about 3 inches that way the edge of your pillow won’t have a raw edge.  Then fold your fabric over so that it is 22”.  Pin the sides that aren’t on the fold and sew it so that it is 18” wide.  Now they don’t have to be this size, you can make it any size that you like but I thought this was a good size for a pillow.  You just need to do straight stitches on the sides.  Now your pillow is finished and we just need to attach it to the blanket.

Step 4:  With the extra flap that you have on your pillow you want to find the center spot and mark it with a pin and also find the center spot on your blanket and also mark it with a pin.

Step 5: Find out how long that you would like your ties to be.  I liked them about 5” long and 1” wide but it’s whatever you prefer.

Step 6:  Once you have decided how long you want your ties to be on the blanket than you will pin the blanket and the pillow together at the center points and also make sure that where the end of the tie is going to be, that it is where the edge of the pillow is.

Step 7:  Next you will take the 2 pieces of fabric that are just below your pillow you will want to sew a straight line so that your pillow and blanket are attached.

Step 8:  Now that it is sewn together the fabric closest to the pillow you will want to cut that down to a ½” long and the 2nd piece of fabric you will want that to be an 1” long.  Fold the longer piece over the shorter piece and then fold once more.  Then you will want to sew right next to the edge of the fabric.  This will finish off that edge.

Step 9:  Lastly you will go around your blanket and cut your ties to your desired length and width.  And then tie a single not at the base of the tie.
These blankets are great for road trips, trips to the park, or just in your blanket closet.
